Betsy Louise (Braxdale) Begemann, 84, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, 100 State Hwy OO, Odessa, MO, 64076 with Reverend Terry Hodges officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the church. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Betsy was born on September 19, 1931 in Odessa, MO to J.W. and Nancy (Robinson) Braxdale. She graduated in 1949 from Odessa High School. She married J. Dale Begemann on December 30, 1950 in Odessa and enjoyed 65 years of happy marriage. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa. Betsy taught the 3 year old children’s Sunday school class for many years. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Betsy enjoyed gardening, canning, and working on the family farm until selling it in 2002.
In addition to her husband Dale, Betsy is survived by two children, Sandra Cline and husband Dan of Lee’s Summit, MO and Roy Begemann and wife Debra of Pleasant Hill, MO; four grandchildren, Taylor Cline and wife Laurel, Chelsey Sirna and husband Matt, and Kendall and Austin Cline. Two great grandchildren, Arabella and Aiden Sirna.
In addition to her parents, Betsy was preceded in death by a brother Jim Braxdale.
