Helen Arlene Hansen, 76, of Lexington, MO passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at Shirkey Nursing Home, Richmond, MO surrounded by her loving family at her bedside. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at Randall and Beth Hansen's home, 712 South Business 13, Lexington, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, "Relay for Life, Ray / Lafayette County", Shirkey Hospice or the donor's choice.
Helen was born August 24, 1940 in Galt, MO to R. Leon and Geraldine Carver Davis. She married Merlin "Mert" G. Hansen on January 24, 1960 in Galt, MO. Helen worked as an assistant pre school teacher at the Presbyterian Church in Lexington. She also was Girl Scout leader for many years in Lexington, MO. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lexington, MO.
Helen is survived by her husband; her children, Debbie Carter and husband Bob of Richmond, and Randall Hansen and wife Beth of Lexington; her brother, Jerry Davis of Brimson, MO; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sharon Whitney.
