Lawrence "Larry" Dean Robinson, 59, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at home surrounded by family.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m., Saturday October 10, 2015 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 7995 Outer Rd., Odessa, MO, 64076, with Pastor Christopher Short officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the church. Per Larry's request his body was donated to science. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Melanoma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 759329, Baltimore, MD, 21275-9329. Larry was born on October 9, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Kenneth and Jessie (Rigg) Robinson. He graduated in 1974 from Odessa High School. Larry served in the United States Army from 1974 until being honorably discharged in 1977. He then served in the Army Nation Guard and Reserves. On June 4, 1983 he married Cynthia "Cyndi" Ann (Branham) Robinson in Odessa, MO. Larry and Cyndi are members of the Calvary Baptist Church. Larry worked for Heathwood Oil Company in Kansas City, KS as a Truck Driver for the past 15 years until becoming ill. Larry and Cyndi are past members of the Odessa Jay Cee's. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Larry's hobbies were tinkering outdoors, gardening and music.
In addition to his wife Cyndi, Larry is survived by a daughter, Kira Robinson of Odessa, MO; two brothers, David Robinson and wife Carol of Centerview, MO and Richard Robinson of Grandview, MO; two brother-in-law's, Ron Branham and wife Karla of Odessa, MO and Michael Branham and wife Billie of Independence, MO; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
