Linda "Wendy" Sue Fristoe

Linda “Wendy” Sue (Nichols) Fristoe, 67 of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the New Haven Living Center in Odessa, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 300 E. Crestview Dr., Odessa, MO, 64076. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 at the church. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Wendy was born on March 29, 1950 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Gus and Bonnie Jean (Hall) Nichols. She married William Douglas Fristoe on August 8, 2009 in Independence, Missouri. He survives of the home. Wendy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Odessa, MO. Wendy was a professional Artist. She taught portrait oil painting classes for many years at the Roger T. Sermon Center and evenings at Truman High School in Independence, MO. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Wendy enjoyed swing and ballroom dancing.

Wendy is survived by her husband Doug Fristoe of Oak Grove, MO; two daughters, Angela Wolgamott and husband David of Blue Springs, MO and Rikki Palmer and husband Adam of Brookfield, Massachusetts; three step-children, Leslie DaCosta and husband Elsimar of Worcester, MA, Danielle Winn of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Adam Fristoe and wife Ariel of Atlanta, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Nichols and wife Lu’Deen and Thomas Nichols and wife Candace of Warner Robins, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wendy was preceded in death by two brothers, Nick and David Nichols.
