PHYLLIS JEAN JENKINS DAVIS
Phyllis Jean Davis, 83, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017at the Lafayette Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11:00am at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00am, also at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lafayette County Enterprises, Higginsville Workshop.
Phyllis was born August 15, 1933 in Lexington, the daughter of Luke and Inez Boley Jenkins. She married James Edward Davis, Sr. on May 24, 1952 in Lexington. She had worked as a machine operator for Higginsville Garment and as a cook for St. Mary's Manor.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Beatrice Peavler and husband Lonnie of Lexington, Virginia Marlene Rehmsmeyer and husband Kenneth of Higginsville, Jim Davis, Jr. of Lexington and Trudy Vojtas of Gaylord, Michigan; brothers, William Louis Jenkins of Dover, Larry Allen Jenkins of Lexington and Kevin Eugene Jenkins of Richmond; sisters, Iris Lee Cobb of Lexington and Kimberlie Kay Gynn of Columbia; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her step mother, Blanche Jenkins.
