Carol Sue Allen, 77, of Lexington passed away March 3, 2018 at Serenity Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Overland Park, Kansas. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lexington. Inurnment will be in Lexington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Phoenix Hospice.
Carol was born July 28, 1940 to Noah Franklin and Legora Francis (Glavin) Johnson in Warsaw, Missouri. She was a Lexington High School graduate and worked as General Manager for the Lexington News. Carol was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her children, Tony Reinhart and wife Michele of North Kansas City and Tracy Allen of Overland Park, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Charles Johnson, James Johnson, Gerald Johnson, Doris Christie, Betty Hoeppner and Mary Gant.
