Christopher Allen Harshner, 60, of Odessa, Missouri passed away September 1, 2018 in Lincoln, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 South Second Street, Odessa, Missouri, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:00 am at Concord Baptist Church, 2899 Baptist Lane, Bates City, Missouri. Cremation will follow. Memorials can be made to Concord Baptist Church to be used for youth.

Christopher was born August 14, 1958 in Richmond, Missouri to Louis Albert and Wanetta Eunice (Allen) Harshner. He graduated in 1976 from Lincoln High School, Lincoln, Missouri. He married Debbie Wilhelmina (Dyke) Harshner on June 29, 1985 in Lincoln, MO. Christopher was a member of the St. Louis/Kansas City Carpenters Regional Council and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America and was in the Carpenters Local 1329 in Independence, MO. He recently retired from ABC Supply in Lee’s Summit, Missouri as a warehouse worker. Christopher was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Bates City, Missouri. He was a prior Scout Master of Troop 286, Odessa, MO and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his BMW motorcycle with his wife and spoiling his grandchildren. He loved music especially ZZ Top & the blues. Christopher was known as a giver, always giving his time and energy to his friends, family and strangers. He was always hard working and enjoyed watching some Chiefs football in his downtime.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years and his beloved dog Journey of the home; his father, Louis Harshner of Warrensburg; children, Jordan Christopher Harshner and wife Amber of LaMonte, Missouri and Benjamin Allen Harshner of Odessa; grandchildren, Jaden Christopher Harshner and Alivya Rae Harshner; brother, Louis Francis Harshner and wife Carolee of Waterloo, South Carolina; sisters, Aletta Ann Cox and husband Mike of Oak Grove; Cecelia Sue Cravens and husband Kenny of Blue Springs, Missouri and Angela Louise Roark and husband Ron of Lincoln, Missouri; and many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Christopher was preceded in death by a grandson Jaxon Charles Harshner.
