DeArmour Marie Brooks

DeArmour M. Brooks, 92, Lexington passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services for DeArmour will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Second Baptist Church, Lexington. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lexington, Mo.

DeArmour Marie Jackson was born on May 26, 1925 in Lexington to Wilburn "Ashes" and Katherine Gates Jackson. She married Kenneth Brooks Sr. on April 3, 1944 in Kansas. DeArmour had worked at Lafayette Regional Health Center and had also worked for S & K until her retirement. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Lexington.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Brooks, Lexington, Mo; Sandra Brooks Hackney and husband, Alfred, Lexington, Denise Quinn and husband, Larry, Des Moines, IA; Deborah Walker, Independence, Mo; Darrell Brooks and wife, Dawn, Cantonment, Fl. There are 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. DeArmour was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Larry Brooks, a grandson, Antonio Quinn; a granddaughter, Sandra Denise Brooks; a great grandson, Mark Taylor; a son in law, Alvin C. Walker; three brothers, William Jackson, Wilburn "Syrup" Jackson, Robert "R A" Jackson, two sisters, Mable Tindall, and Katherine Moore.
