Donald Marion Lindsay, 83, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Shangri La Rehab & Nursing Home in Blue Springs, MO.
Per Donald’s request cremation. A Celebration of Life will take place in Connersville, Indiana at a later date. Donald was born on January 18, 1934 in Connersville, Indiana to Ardor and Mary (Baker) Lindsay. He graduated in 1953 from Connersville High School in Connersville, Indiana. On July 25 1970 he married Martha (Revel) Lindsay in Connersville, Indiana. Martha survives of the home. Donald retired from Dresser Industries in Connersville as a Timekeeper in 1990 after 37 years of service. He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Connersville, IN. Donald was also a 49 year member of the Warren Lodge #15 and 47 year member of the Connersville Chapter 346 Eastern Star and a 48 year member of the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis, IN. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Donald enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Survivors include his wife Martha Lindsay of Odessa, MO; two children, Connie Bates of Blue Springs, MO and David Lloyd Ward, Jr. of Odessa, MO; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother, Ray Lindsay and wife Judy of Batesville, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a brother Gerald Lindsay and a sister Ruth Scott.
