Harold Eugene Penny

Harold Eugene Penny, 74, of Lexington passed away February 18, 2019 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Funeral service will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00 am. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be made to the Lafayette County Cancer Coalition.

Harold was born August 19, 1944 in Henrietta, Missouri to Marvin and Lella (Nofsinger) Penny. He married Gertrude (Trudy) Coen on August 31, 1979 in Miami, Oklahoma. He retired after 26 years in maintenance for the Lafayette Care Center and then worked in maintenance for the Pioneer House. Harold was a craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, painting, fishing and the Chiefs.

Harold is survived by his wife, of the home; children, Sheli Nelson and companion Darrin McCant of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and Paul Schroeder of Lexington; grandchildren, Vanidee Stollenwerk, Cheyenne Star, Dylan Peterson and Taylor Davenport; five great grandchildren; brother Arthur Cox of Ventura, California; and sister Ellen Kincaid of Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Penney, Roy Cox, Robert Cox and Hubert Cox; and sister, Verna Marie Cox.
