James A Mcdowell, Jr.

November 20, 1943 — August 15, 2018

James "Jim" Alexander McDowell, Jr. 74, Lexington passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lexington. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, at 2:00 pm at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 pm until service time. Burial will be at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Mo. with honors. Memorial may be made to the Lex-Ray Tech Center for the CTSO programs or to the Lafayette County Cancer Collation.

James Alexander McDowell was born on November 20, 1943 in Lexington, MO. to James A and Lena J. Miller McDowell. Jim married Judy Delana on November 19, 1966 in Nowata, OK. Jim was a Navy Veteran, a member of the Lexington V.F.W. and the American Legion.
Jim never met a stranger and was loved by many. Jim worked for Missouri Public Works, now KCP& L and retired from there.

Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home. A daughter, Jamie Bergsieker and husband, Scott, Corder, MO. Four grandchildren, Maddy Lynn, Mason Andrew, Max Alexander and Mattson Dale Bergsieker. Also surviving is a sister Lena Shroyer as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
