Roger Lee Johnson, 63 of Corder, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 01, 2018 at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Faith Baptist Church, 7430 S. 13 Hwy, Higginsville, MO, 64037. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the church. Burial will be in the Corder Cemetery in Corder, MO. Roger was born on February 14, 1955 in Sedalia, MO to Earl and Jane (Gayhart) Johnson. He graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia, MO. Roger retired from Tyson Food on March 25, 2017. On November 16, 2006 he married Peggy Rose (Mefford) Johnson in Marshall, MO. Roger was Christian by faith. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Roger enjoyed fishing, gardening and rooting for the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. He also celebrated Christmas passionately by lavishly decorating his house and giving gifts. Roger was twice recognized by his community with the award for best Christmas decorations.

Roger is survived by his wife Peggy Johnson of Corder, MO; children, Patty Lynn Johnson and Roger Lee Johnson both of Sedalia, MO, step-children, Margaret Kohlstaedt and husband Brian of Wellington, MO and Linda Cohron and husband Don of Odessa, MO; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, George Johnson of Pilot Grove, MO; two sisters, Juanita Baker of Sedalia, MO and Jackie Gaddy of Marshall, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Johnson, a step-son Kenneth Matthis, and two brothers Jim and Johnny Johnson.
